HEALTH GUARANTEE

We take our puppies health seriously, we start with health testing and clearing the parents of identifiable genetic disease. We take our puppies to the Vet at 6 weeks for a health examination and their first puppy shot. At this point any health issues should be noted. Once the puppy is in your care, we ask that you take the puppy to your vet within the first 48 hours. If your Vet notices any congenital health issues we will need to be contacted immediately so we can communicate with your Vet, and our Vet, to discuss the issue. If the Vet’s concur the puppy can be returned, or a partial,or full refund, can be issued depending on the severity of the situation. We are not responsible for any veterinary medical bills, medicine or transportation cost once the puppy is in its new home.

Most breeders that offer 1- and 2-year health guarantees are based on a “replacement” puppy or impossible contingencies. We are a small breeder and we never want to be put into the position to be forced to breed our dogs to provide a “replacement” puppy. Often other breeders ask for you to spay or neuter at certain times, vaccines at certain times or else the guarantee is no longer valid. We are dog breeders not veterinarians. We believe that the new owners and their veterinarian should discuss and decide on how to provide the best health care for their pet. We strongly recommend you keep all shots and deworming up to date. Many health issues can be avoided by vaccinating and worming. We strongly recommend that you do not take the puppy to an area where a lot of dogs play until puppy is fully immunized. This would normally be a few weeks after receiving his 12 week vaccination. Some Vets now recommend a 15 week shot. Parvo is the most contagious virus puppies can get, and it can quickly turn deadly. We recommend that you feed your puppy protein fused dog food, such as chicken, beef, or lamb as the first ingredient. Your puppy has been fed with Purina One Focus (puppy formula).
