  • I use OxyMate prenatal vitamins and OxyMomma after birth. I have much stronger puppies with these.
  • Our breeder females are on Purina Pro Plan puppy food, which the pups will also eat.
  • I worm the puppies every two weeks with Pyrantel, starting at two weeks.
  • I weigh my puppies daily to assure that they are all gaining weight regularly.
  • I no longer remove the dew claws later in life. There is significant research indicating that can cause ligament problems in life.
  • I do not intend to dock my poodle’s tails.
  • At 6 weeks and 9 weeks, they get their puppy shots. I normally do not deliver puppies to their forever homes until after the 9 week shots. I prefer they have at least two Parvo vaccines before they leave. If I keep them longer they will receive their final 12-week shot.
  • I am fortunate to have a Granddaughter who is a Veterinarian. She is in practice with the Vet I have used for over 10 years. Her husband is also a Vet. I think I have Vet care covered!!
